Going out of our way to brighten someone’s day.

our why

At ZAG Project, we believe that joy is an act of connection, and surprise is a powerful tool to remind people they matter.

According to the Foundation for Art & Healing’s UnLonely Project, more than 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. report feeling serious loneliness, and the numbers are even higher among young people, caregivers, and underserved communities. The consequences go far beyond feelings—chronic loneliness is associated with:

  • A 29% increase in risk of heart disease

  • A 32% increase in risk of stroke

  • A 50% greater risk of developing dementia in older adults

  • And, according to the U.S. Surgeon General, the same health impact as smoking 15 cigarettes a day

ZAG Project curates moments of joy, where people feel seen and celebrated.

We seek to find ways to intentionally increase happiness in those who are underserved, unseen and underappreciated. Whether it be through surprise, experience, or relationships. We want to make the ordinary, extraordinary! Follow us to learn more about the creative ways we make that possible!

We believe that a surprise or a pop of joy can bring a shift in perspective.
